Italy. The
volcano erupts
most years
and there
are many
villages
on the Etna.
When the
volcano does
erupt and
the lava
flows, the
lava is directed
down the
sides where
there are
no houses
and people
living. This
is done with
diggers we
dig a path
for the lava
to flow.
On Mount
Etna you
can drive
up to where
the old craters
are and you
can walk
around. There
are a few
tourist style
shops and
a cafe there
also. You
can also
hike further
up the volcano
although
with a guided
tour. |
